V-Spec #2 is a light amber yellow rod with similar strike to Northstar Yellow, but more intense fumey tones. Under heat, they strike into rich honey ambers before developing deeper caramel layers, fumey blues, and soft violet highlights. Use oxidizing flame to burn off the initial metal deposit and strike in reducing flame or kiln.
Our V-Spec (Variant specification) formulas use little to no silver or germanium, making them more cost-effective while maintaining smooth melt and predictable striking behavior.
